Cadillac Area Trail Report – 03/06
TRAIL CONDITIONS: Forest trails (west of Cadillac): Very Good Boon-North to Mesick: Good In-town trail: Poor to Fair White Pine Trail: Fair to Good Warm afternoon temperatures have been taking a toll on the trail system the last couple of days. We haven’t received any additional snow recently either. There’s still some good riding in the forest but it would be a good idea to plan on starting from one of the following staging areas: 33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery Our groomers are out there every day as long as temperature and snow conditions permit. Keep in mind the drags don’t work when temperatures get much above freezing. That’s also the time when trail conditions deteriorate quickly. There isn’t much if any snow in the immediate forecast for us. It’s March though–anything can happen. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS
