We have received fresh snowfall across the area, anywhere from 3-10 inches, and it is still coming down. Temperatures will be upper 20’s in the daytime and nighttime lows 10 to 20. Now is a good time to take advantage of riding while traffic is down and trails are still in good condition.

The Gogebic Range Trail Authority: Reports trails are good with a few icy spots on hills and corners. With daily and nightly grooming ongoing, conditions will continue to be good.

The Lake Gogebic groomers report: The trails held up surprisingly well over the weekend. With temps in the teens and 20’s and snow in the forecast daily this week, conditions should continue to be good. Watch for some icy corners. There have been reports of snowmobiles running on the railroad tracks through Bergland. Watch for trail signs and stay on snowmobile trail. The two run right next to each other and it is an easy mistake to make-but you will be ticketed if caught riding on the railroad tracks.

The Watersmeet groomers report: They have recieved 6-10 inches of fresh snow with more still falling. Conditions are good to excellent. The bare spots are covered and grooming is ongoing.

Keep in mind groomers can be out day or night so watch out for them and please pull over or slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by.

Please be careful on corners as you know several Michigan Trail signs have been discontinued. These signs are posted on our trail map. PLEASE BE SAFE!!!!
