Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 03/13

14 degrees this morning and things are mostly frozen back up again and we had 1-2 inches of snow last night. Trails are coming back into nice shape. That snow is really making them great as it mixes with the icy crystals left from the rain.

Trails should be great for this weekend and the weatherman is cooperating too. Saturday March 16 is our pancake breakfast at the groomer barn 8-11AM. Stop in before you hit the trails.

March 11

The warmth and rain have kept the groomers in the barn since Saturday. The cold and snow is to return very late today and we should be able to groom tonight and Tuesday again. The weatherman says 2-4 inches of snow by Tuesday night.

Trails are all in good to excellent shape, but the longer the time after a groom the the rougher they get. Groomers are out smoothing out the trails daily. Hopefully if you find a not so smooth section you found many more that were freshly groomed. Groomers run 24/7 on different sections. Trails are generally groomed once a day on weekends and everyother day during the week depending on traffic, temps, and breakdowns.
