Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 03/19
Our calendar is telling us it is the last day of winter but looking outside it looks like January should have looked. We received 8 inches of snow in the last 24 hours and we are still getting dumped on. We are supposed to get another 16 inches before this is done. Snowmobiling is the best it has been all season. With our low traffic and great condition now is the time to come and have a great time riding. The Lake Gogebic groomers report: Snowmobilers in the area are reporting the trails in very good condition with low traffic. Grooming will resume after the storm. I will have a better report hopefully tomorrow. Keep in mind groomers can be out day or night so watch out for them and please pull over or slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by. Please be careful on corners as you know several Michigan Trail signs have been discontinued. These signs are posted on our trail map. PLEASE BE SAFE!!!!
