St. Ignace Trail Report – 12/09
Rained last week to melt most of what we had on the ground, but that may have been a good thing. It put some moisture in the ground, and then it got cold and the ground started to freeze – we need the frost to help the trail hold up and get the snow to stick down. Last night was a surprise 6’+ but mostly lake effect and it will pack down to nothing. Don’t think we have enough to start panning just yet since it is all lake effect. I will check with my trail reporters to see what it is like in the outer system. Weather looks like continued cold with a little snow here and there. It may be time to get this season off to a start! __________________
