Gaylord Area Trail Report – Ray’s Retreat Country Inn – 12/17
We are up to 20 inches.Mother Nature has been very good to us this December. There is plenty of snow. In fact, the snow is very deep and if you get off into it and don’t keep on it, you will be sinking into the bliss of cold fresh snow.
With the bitter cold we have been having the snow is light and fluffy which makes it difficult to maintain the smooth trails despite the efforts of the groomers. Temps are going to be warming up into the 20s midweek. That will greatly help pack it for a base.
We got two/three more inches of snow overnight. Its in the forecast for this afternoon.
Isn’t it great? Its been a long time since we’ve started December out with this much snow.
