Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 12/30
It got down to minus 26 during the night and now up to a balmy -9. the highs all week are not to get out of the single digits so cold will stay around. Trails are in very good condition even when it got up to 38 on Saturday and snow was melting. It settled some of the fluff but too warm to run groomers. They were back out on Sunday once again. Still a water hole between Raco and Kinross. The Groomer did go all the way thru yesterday and you can get around with your sleds, but the beaver have the creek damned up and water is flowing down the center of the trail just before the bridge. Via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association on Facebook Website Report – 12/27 Trails are in good to excellent shape. Some flowing water on the Spile Dam trail yet, Kinross to Raco. All the rest of our wet areas are frozen over. We will be grooming the Bay Mills Trail groomer is down and we groomed part of the Paradise trail #8 out to Lakeshore Dr., about 5 miles, as they haven’t brought their drag down thru the swamp yet.
