a 3 day Martin Luther King National holiday (Monday) weekend coming up…
….
We have a seasonal snow fall of 124 ‘ (just over 10ft.) as of 1-13-14
It has snowed 51 days since Nov. 1st.
Actual snow level on ground is 24′ after this weekends warm temps
today is the last of our warm above freezing weather…
tomorow brings in a small clipper system from the s.e. with about 2 ‘ of snow and temps in the TEENS…..
SNOW predicted for the next 7 days…..
Thursday brings in another n.w. clipper system with another 2-3′ of snow…precicted….???? with some high winds…all temps will be in the teens for the next 7 days
All trails have at least a 6-12′ base..(farther north the deeper the base)..with cold temps in the teens and snow for tonight … to help harden up our snow base….
all trails are still in a excellent range…thanks to low trail usage and cold,frozen trail base
TREES….heavy wet snow in trees are breaking branches littering trails with snow clumps and branches….
watch for groomers/people on trails removing debris….
