Indian River Trail Report – 01/27
Winter just keeps delivering the hits to us here. We had snow roll through Friday into Saturday and dump between 8 and 10 inches of fluffy snow! Friday was very cold and windy too, which decreased visibility and caused many schools to close early. Even the Bridge was closed for half the day. Yesterday was quiet and people spent the day digging out or playing in the fresh snow. Temps were in the teens and conditions were relatively quiet. Trails have been groomed all weekend and as you can imagine are in tremendous condition. It’s a snowmobilers’ paradise out there. Well, except for the cold…Temps dropped overnight and we’re not even at zero now. Wind chill advisories are posted and many schools are closed. We’ve got a lot of cloud cover and the advisory is in effect until 7 am Tuesday. Light snow is falling now but visibility is ok. Dress warm if you ride! Groomers will run again tonight!
