Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/07
February 7, 2014 – Conditions remain Good to Excellent–mostly excellent. Haven’t gotten a lot of new snow this week but there is so much snow out there it’s a challenge for the wheeled equipment to keep from getting stuck in some places. We work hard to try to keep the trails smooth and we appreciate the kind comments so many of you have made regarding the condition of our system. It is our goal to make your riding as enjoyable and safe as possible. February 2, 2014 – Lots of sleds and winter enthusiasm in the area this weekend as we celebrated the North American Snow Festival. The groomers have been trying hard to keep up with the heavy sled traffic as they strive to keep the trails in top-notch condition. We’ve picked up 6+ inches since my last report and sounds like we may get more snow Tuesday and/or Wednesday. We’ve been blessed this year. There hasn’t been a January thaw and the snow just keeps coming. What a beautiful winter! —– To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below: 33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS
