Grand Marais Trail Report – 03/25
The trails are still in great shape for late season rides! We still have a ton of snow on the ground with cold temps and a bit of snow coming off and on to help keep things fresh and clean. As you know, the season officially ends on March 31st. I can’t remember the last time I was able to say this but, we will groom right up to the end, weather permitting; meaning not too wet, warm, or stormy! Usually the middle of March we park the groomers and start cleaning up and taking care of last minute stuff. NOT so this year! I want to extend a huge thanks to our faithful Groomer Drivers and Staff: Carol, Michael, Brian, Tammy, Norm, Teddy, Will, Chris, Jack, Mark, and Dennis along with our leader, Steve! If you want to ride groomed trails, this is it folks! The Last Week of a truly epic season! Come on UP and enjoy! Of course, there will still be snow to play in out in the woods for quite a while unless the temperatures suddenly switch around and Mother Nature allows Ol’ Man Winter to take a rest (which the forecast seems to indicate is exactly what is going to happen)! You will want to park at staging areas and ride from there. Plan your trip(s) knowing you probably won’t want to ride into towns after next Monday. The forecast through the end of the grooming season: Rest Of Today 25th~ Bitterly cold. Partly cloudy with isolated snow showers. Highs around 13. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.
