Cadillac Area Trail Report – 12/09
We picked up a 2-3 inches of slushy snow in the Cadillac area yesterday afternoon and evening. Just checked in with the Boon area this morning and they report the same amounts. It would be nice if the snow lasted but warmer temps are forecasted for the weekend so we will have to see what develops. PLEASE REMEMBER we have been asked by the State Park folks to stay off the White Pine Trail until there is at least four inches of snow on it…Let’s all respect this request. Thanks! – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – We’ve been working hard all summer brushing and signing the trails and doing equipment maintenance on our five tractors, drags and brushing equipment. Some of our buildings needed maintenance and sprucing up as well. We’re excited about having a new Dubie drag on order. Should be here in time for some serious grooming this winter. We’ll be using it on the 7920 in the mid-region of our trail system. —– To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below: 33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS
