Grand Marais Trail Report – 12/19
12/19/14 – Things may be looking up for the next week and beyond. John Dee is reporting a possible 4′ or more of wet heavy snow to fall in our area by Monday the 22nd. Then up to 5+ or more over the next few days in time for the Christmas weekend. Unfortunately, it’s still supposed to be in the 30’s. After that it’s still a guessing game. We need a lot of repeated or consistent cold temperatures to freeze down those water holes. We don’t have enough snow to push into them to help the process. Once we start getting measurable snow, we can get back to work prepping the base. Until then the flags still fly red to yellow.
