Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 01/06
Greetings Eager Sledders, We got a whopping 4′ out of the weekend system that went through and an additional mind boggling 2′ of LES Sunday night, which triggered two expeditionary panning runs on Monday, one to Fredericanville and one to Lovells. First of the season panning runs are a necessary evil and both turned out to be productive. The decision to go was based on the forecast and what’s on the ground, what’s on the ground didn’t change much, but the forecast sure took a left turn as far as snow goes. If we don’t get additional inches out of the Lake Effect Guns, which doesn’t look good for us as most of that snow has missed us to the North, unfortunately, we are going to be stuck in the Poor to Fair rating for awhile. Wish we had better news to report, but as we say ‘ it is what it is ‘ , and there’s not much we can do but have another one. Grilled Spam sandwich that is. Ride Often and Please Be Safe, At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails.
