The signs are there for the safety of the riders!!! Lake Gogebic Groomer’s Report: The Watersmeet Groomer’s report: Please follow the orange barrels and stay on trail going across Cisco Chain. Trails 2 & 8 are groomed and are in good to very good condition. Trail 11N is groomed and has one large water hole so travel with care, overall trail 11 is in good condition.
Trail 160 is groomed, everything seems to be frozen, the trail is in good to very good condition. Use caution on this trail logging is on going. Logging trucks have the right away.
11S is closed for the season due to logging.
All trails are improving with the exception of trail 102.
We’re still expecting lots of snow, up to 11-inches, over the next 24 hours – but with lake effect snow you never know when it’ll stop. Our groomer drivers were able to install a culvert on trail 102 Wednesday, however technical difficulties prevented them from getting the groomer all the way through to trail 11, but they’ll be back at it asap. 102 has been a big problem for us this year with lots of water in areas where we have never had to deal with water in prior years. I’ll keep you posted when I know more on those conditions. We really couldn’t be asking for better weather conditions right now so the trails are getting back to where we (and you) would like to see them with all other trails being groomed at this time. We are currently in a very cold snap for the remainder of this week, through next weekend with more snow in the forecast almost every day.
Groomers are running daily and the trails are in very good condition. Not much more to say than that! Ride right, ride safe!!
