Temperatures will be in the 20’s the beginning of this week with snow showers in the forecast. They are down to one groomer but they hope to have one more up and running by Thursday. Trail 2 from Ironwood to Wakefield is in fair to good condition. They will try to groom Trail 2 to Marenisco today. Trail 160 is in good condition but there is still logging activity so use caution. Trail 11 north is a little bumpy. Trail 11 south is closed due to logging operations. Trail 8 to Tuula is in good condition.
The trails were not in top condition due to the warmer weather and traffic this past weekend, but with this cool down and snowfall they are looking better.
The big news is a reroute over the area where trails 1, 102 and 8 west meet. Work will begin on Monday, Jan. 26th and run thru the remainder of the season. Watch for changes and new signing in this area.
The warm weather left rough trails, but temps are back in the teens and twenties and groomers were out nightly. The trails are good and there is plenty of good riding left, especially with snow showers in the forecast.
