I inspected over a hundred miles of snowmobile trails in Manistee County today and I would have to say they are probably in the best shape so far this year. The groomers were out and traffic picked up as the day went on and I expect it to get really busy this weekend. With that said the trails will get tore up pretty quick, earlier in the morning is the best opportunity to have flat trails and they will get worse as the day goes on.

Hi all! TGIF! Snow snow snow! YAY! We have gotten lots of snow in the last week, and the groomers are out, so the short and sweet of it is that the trails are looking great! We’ve had a couple days of that super cold again but its supposed to warm a bit tomorrow to about 20 so it’ll be a great weekend for riding! Woohooh! Get out and ride baby! Please watch out for the groomers, stay outta their way and give them a thumbs up as they pass by! The weekends see heavier traffic so take care and watch out for the other guy! Remember when you are out over the weekend, that the Benzie Manistee Snowbirds Clubhouse has an OPEN HOUSE every Saturday thru February! Stop in at 14121 Industrial Drive in Kaleva.
