Newberry Trail Report – 01/12
January 12, 2016 – Welcome to our winter wonderland, 3′ in couple of hours. And the heaven’s said let there be snow. Yooper OUT <> <> <> January 11, 2016 – Started to groom our trails last night. We received 4 to 8 inches of snow on our trails. More snow is expected to fall by Wednesday. All three trails will be groomed today. CAUTION. Due not ATTEMPT TO RIDE FROM CR 500 TO FALLS SWAMPS ARE NOT FROZEN AND TRAIL 473 WET AREA IS NOT FROZEN BETWEEN CAFFEY CORNER AND TROUT LAKE. Extended forecast: This week colder temperatures and 4 more inches of snow by Wednesday. North Trail #9 Pine Stump Jct./Seney/Grand Marais This trail has a logging operation about 10 to 12 miles in on the CCI road from CR 407 (Pine Stump Area). Please go slow and watch for logging trucks.
