Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 01/15
FINALLY we are getting some winter weather. Our temps for this coming weekend will be in the single digits for highs and below zero for the lows with some snow in the forecast. This will help to firm up our wet spots. Things are finally starting to look up. The former GOGEBIC RANGE TRAIL AUTHORITY now known as the SNOW SHAKERS are reporting: PLEASE STAY ON MARKED TRAILS, RIDING ON A UNMARKED TRAIL MAY RESULT IN THE CLUB LOOSING EASEMENT TO THE PROPERTY. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Groomers are out both day and night. Please watch out for them and slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by. Groomers have the right of way. The LAKE GOGEBIC AREA GROOMERS are reporting: Please check locally for lake conditions. It is changing hourly. WATERSMEET GROOMERS are reporting: Each Western U.P. snowmobiling adventure is unique and exciting, as there are over 2000 miles groomed trails, unplowed logging roads, secluded National Forest trails throughout our area.
