Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/02
February 2, 2016 <> <> <> January 30, 2016 Conditions: Fair to Poor Effective immediately (7 p.m.) grooming has stopped until temperatures drop. It looks like we could have above freezing temperatures until Tuesday but then temperatures are likely to drop with a chance of snow moving in Wednesday through the rest of the week. There is still snow to ride but it is wet and slushy. As I’ve said before–What a winter!!!! January 28, 2016 Conditions: Good We picked up 2- 3 more inches of snow today. The groomer who did the White Pine Trail today reports that it is in good shape–plenty of snow cover. Warmer than usual temperatures are predicted for Saturday and Sunday; Keep in mind, if it gets too warm this weekend, our groomers may not be able to groom. The snow has difficulty flowing through the drag when it is warm. Ride smart–Be safe! <> January 27, 2016 Coyote Crossing Resort – Beautiful snow yesterday!! About 5′ of heavy, wet snow. Was able to XC ski with our dog and go for an evening snowmobile ride. The trails were good! Although, be aware of downed branches (from the heavy snow). Pete’s out grooming now! <> —– To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below: 33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs) Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS <> Visit Visit Cadillac Website >>>> <> January 28, 2016 <> <> Visit Visit Cadillac Website >>>> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>
