Newberry Trail Report – 02/08
The ‘big winter storm’ was a bust here, we only saw a couple 2-3′ of fresh snow and its been a rain/snow mix the last two days. Weekend riders were lucky as conditions friday and saturday were good. We have cold and snow 3-6′ forecast for mid-week, this should keep us set up for nice trails. The base is still holding up, inside corners were down to ice and few places showed dirt considering the amount of sleds saturday, most corners straightened out already, we just need that fresh snow now! <> North Trail #9 Pine Stump Jct./Seney/Grand Marais This trail is in fair to good condition. There is a logging operation about 10 to 12 miles in on the CCI road from CR 407 (Pine Stump Area). Please go slow and watch for logging trucks. Trail #45 to the Falls/Paradise Trail is in fair to good condition. South Trail #9/2 to Epoufette/Trout Lake Trail is in fair to good condition. All 3 groomers were out last night grooming the trails. We have warm temperatures again and losing snow on the trails this past 2 days. Please slow down on the corners they are becoming icy. Just for everyone’s information our groomers leave our barn between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. and return in the early morning hours. <> Visit Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association on Facebook <> Visit Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association Report on MSA <> Visit Visit Newberry Website >>>> <> February 8, 2016 <> <> Visit Visit Newberry Website >>>> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>
