KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort – Good morning Kruppers! – It’s a Crisp -1 right now in the backyard! – We only need 4 more feet of snow to make it to the 8 foot mark! … March 2, 2016 <> <> This is the Keweenaw Snowmobile Trail System Report for Wednesday, March 2, 2016. Snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open. The groomers are out and trails are in good to very good condition. There is a re-route on Trail #133. Please watch for the signsl. Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails, they have the right of way!! There is active logging on Trail #120 and on part of the Bill Nicholls Trail. PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAIL IN THESE AREAS! It is for your safety as well as the loggers. The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the trails are there for riders’ safety. Please DO NOT remove or destroy these signs. Please keep out of the Houghton City RV Park or we will no longer have access to this area of the trail.
