Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 12/21
Greetings Sledders, We’ve had many sledders in since we started panning and grooming last Thursday with no complaints lodged at least with regard to our efforts and trails. I think the trails have held together pretty well given the traffic and the type and amount of snow we’ve been given to work with. Lake Effect has never been conducive to base building but I’m not complaining, everything that’s on the ground so far is a bonus. Because of the lack of base I’m rating our trails as fair. You may get on a stretch that might go for miles and be as white as, well, snow, but the base is missing or just starting to take hold and I consider that to be fair. And of course you may also experience a stretch that’s snirty and that too is fair at best. It’s an early season start, but it’s a start nonetheless. We’re not quite sure what to expect weather wise after the weekend and into Monday. We know at this point that some rain may fall, how much is anyone’s guess. If we get some light rain it would be a good thing for the base as long as the rain and next week’s increase in traffic don’t happen at the same time. I’ll get out another report as weather warrants, probably Sunday evening sometime. Have a Great Holiday. <> At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails. <> <> Visit Fay’s Motel Website >>>> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>
