Seney Trail Report – 01/07
6-8″ of new snow again since yesterday. Trails are in great condition. We are building the base up on the logging areas that are complete. Trail 43 south will have logging on the last 2 miles before ten curves road the rest of the season. The stop signs on Trail 8 on the grade remain up. You may wonder why you have stopped in the middle of a trail where there are no crossroads. The beaver dams have the water level higher than the road there and temperatures rising has undermined the trail twice already, once causing a bad accident before signage could be put up. SO for safety reasons the signs remain. Trail 43/8 – the water hole that keeps rearing it ugly head is froze again. Don is leaving the stop ahead and stop signs up for now. The water is high there because of the beaver dam and it undermines the trail without notice so the signs stay up til we are sure it’s okay. The detour signs are up on 43 just outside of town are up until that area is froze in. Please remember this is early season and we are still building the base Logging: Trail 43 south has logging going on for the last 2 miles off of ten curves road that will be going on all winter.
