Cadillac Area Trail Report – Visit Cadillac – 01/13

January 13, 2017

A south end groomer reported in today indicating the White Pine Trail is PERFECT. That’s a first for the year. At this point, we can upgrade our system to–GOOD to EXCELLENT. The narrower sections of trail are not as nice as the wider sections. The wider sections are EXCELLENT throughout the system. Keep in mind there is likely to be an ice base most everywhere.

Want to thank the gentleman who sent MSA a glowing review of our trail system and consistently smooth trails. That message was forwarded to us. Your comments are greatly appreciated by our team of volunteer groomers, and those who sign and brush our system. It’s always nice to hear positive comments about our efforts.

View from the groomer. We got another 5-8′ last night and it’s a winter wonderland outside! The trails are in really good condition, except there are many downed limbs so be VERY careful riding. Pete is out grooming right now and ask that riders please help clear the limbs/branches on the trails. Ski slopes are beautiful as well. Hoping to get to Caberfae later today! Warmer temps are expected and we may get some rain … Julie

January 8, 2018 – VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS

Picked up a couple more inches last night. That could only improve conditions.

Just received these photos (approx 2 pm) showing the trail conditions of Trail 37 in the Mesick area. The photo on the left is the railroad grade north of Yuma headed toward Mesick. The one on the right is of the new portion of Trail 37 as it picks up the railroad grade out of Mesick and heads toward Copemish. Some areas on the railroad grades remain marginal where the wind has blown the snow off in open areas.
