Munising Area Trail Report – 01/22
TRAIL REPORT: 8:30 a.m., Sunday, 1/22/17 TRAIL CONDITIONS: Fair – wet, soft snow with warm weather. We reluctantly brought the Pisten Bully back last night from a Friday trail side repair. Could only pan to minimize base damage in the soft snow. The trails were holding up much better than expected with the weather but it’s not over yet. Please tread lightly if out riding to help save the trail system while this January thaw finishes passing through. Trail 8 – Fair to Good. Some moguls starting to form. WEATHER: 36 degrees, 2 mph S Winds, Dense Fog. Drizzle forecast through Monday with day and night temperatures above freezing. CAUTIONS, WARNINGS and UPDATES: CAUTION FOR TRAIL 419: CAUTION FOR TRAIL419 (Munising Wetmore Connector) – Trail 419 connector is OPEN. Please use caution when riding. It’s a congested area with driveway crossings. PLEASE obey all stop signs and give right-of-way to vehicles.
