Sidnaw / Bruce Crossing Trail Report – Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club – 02/01
Groomer Report: There is about 16′ of snow on the ground and about 2 – 3′ of fresh fell yesterday and last night. We are grooming every day. The trails are overall GOOD with a couple areas in FAIR condition. There are some thin & wet areas to deal with but they are getting better. Watch for some large wet spots on trail #3 between Bruce Crossing and Rockland, you have plenty of room to get around them with a snowmobile and none are very deep and most of that trail is very nice as you get farther North. The 6th Annual trailside hotdog cookout will be held on Saturday the 4th of February. Stop by at the clubhouse in Trout Creek along trail #8 and have a hotdog on us. We will also have wonderful homemade cookies, coffee and hot chocolate. We usually are up and running around 10:00AM and will go until around 3:00PM, conditions permitting. This is a thank you from the club to the riders for coming to our area! Please DO NOT climb the “Military Hill” from the highway, US 45, to the fence, we have ongoing erosion issues there and the hill climbers are adding to the problem. YOU COULD CAUSE THIS MAJOR TRAIL TO BE CLOSED IF YOU CONTINUE! Please ride on your own side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs! Trail #3 North to Rockland is FAIR – GOOD. Some wet and thin spots to watch for. Much better on the North end. Watch for the groomers, they take up most of the trail and have the right of way! When I report “base” that is the depth of the un-groomed snow on my yard South of Sidnaw. There is no possible way to accurately report what the depth is under your snowmobile on the groomed trail, it varies widely. Have a fun and safe trip, thank you for riding our trails and visiting our local businesses! <> Visit Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club Website >>>> <> Below are the latest postings from the Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club Page On Facebook. <> This message is only visible to site admins <> Visit Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club Website >>>> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>
