Well….. what a twist the last week has been! 50 degrees for days then all of a sudden we get 4-6′ of snow and Old Man Winter comes crawling back! Oh, and look 40’s and rain is coming back! But let’s focus on today, so our friend Phil with the ACSC went out and broke in his new Sidewinder Turbo today and did some recon for us, all I can say is W O W! Would have never guessed after all the 40 and 50 degree days and pouring rain we would still have snow on the trails like we do! Before we get too far we need to warn of a few issues!!!!!!! With that said, it is safe to say that Wednesday into Thursday all groomers will run and try to mold the trails back into shape.
🚧Trail 766 (Jordan Valley) – Just north of the fish hatchery there is flowing water across the trail! AND ITS FAIRLY DEEP!!!!!!!!!! 🚧
🚧Trail 4 (Toward East Jordan) – Construction has begun at Old State Road on the road project, there may also be some activity near the trail, but the trail shouldn’t be effected as of now, stay tuned for more updates on this as we learn more from the road commission/DOT and the DNR 🚧
Trail 4 & 4/76 (Lakes of the North/Starvation Lake area) – Great snow cover still with an occasional thin or mushy spot.
Trail 4/76 (Alba) – Overall, it’s decent and rideable. There are a few thin areas in the heavy canopy and wide open areas but still rideable. The guys will work on getting some snow down on the lease road which isn’t pretty.
Trail 768, 4/76, 76 (131 trail) – As usual there are multiple very thin spots and many spots that aren’t good for lubrication, but it’s hard and flat, luckily JUST OFF the trail there is still some good snow to help cool you down. On a side note, please please please be cautious of the railroad tracks! There have been lots of issues this year with crossing the tracks in unapproved areas as well as parking on the tracks in the Alba area
Trail 4 (Valley to East Jordan) – the Valley to M66 is in decent shape, 66 to East Jordan has multiple bad spots, but with all the rain we’re thankful to still have a trail ** please notice warning above**
Trail 766 (Jordan Valley) – Overall the Valley is in good shape. Decent snow still on the ground with occasional thin spot ** please notice warning above**
Trail 76 (North 10) – uncharted territory as of now, last report we had was that it still had good snow cover with some occasional water holesJordan Valley Trails Council On Facebook
