Paradise Area Trail Report – 12/14
December 14, 2017 13 degrees this morning and a light snow is in the air. We`ve picked up maybe 2 inches in the last couple of days. I`ve had many e-mails the last couple days asking me how much snow is on the ground….I`m gonna tell you all now….a solid foot….and thats settled in too. I`ve also had alot of questions on how the trails look…honest answer….don`t know. We haven`t been out on them yet. I have heard a few ppl. have ridden towards Pine Stump on trail #8 and there are a couple trees down and lots of sticks and branches on it….typical early season riding. I`m willing to bet you can`t get to the Falls on trail #45 yet cause of all the water and the swamp south of town is a no brainer. Now you may ask…how come you haven`t had the groomers out yet? Let me be blunt….no help. Remember, Paradise is a very small town, maybe 500 ppl. in the winter, and we just don`t have the help anymore. We used to, but those ppl. got up into their 70`s and just can`t do it anymore and the younger generation just doesn`t seem to care…..sad. I have posted several times for help on the trails and some wrenching help on the groomers but to no avail….sad. Nuff on that rant….heres whats going on today. Me, groomer Mike and groomer Dave and hopefully a couple more are heading out to the barn and do alittle wrenching. We have just one machine to get ready and it should take around 4 hrs…..depending on how much help shows up. We will then discuss what we are gonna do next. Keep checking back, I`ll let ya`ll know what we came up with.
