Ontonagon Trail Report – 01/12
ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP – Trail Report – All of our trails have been groomed in the past 16 hours and ready to ride!! A big shout out to Gogebic Area Grooming for running the 3 connector trails leading to us within the past 8 hours. Trail Update: SNOW!! We got it last night. Between 4 and 10 inches across our trail system. We hit all 110 miles of our system last night and according to The Groomer Tracker App. GAG hit all trails north of Lake Gogebic. Should be a great day on the trails! There are a lot of sleds up this weekend, get out early and ride safe! Trail #1 Lake of the Clouds to White Pine was groomed last night and is in very good condition. Watch the low spots between Silver City and The Porkies, they are bumpy. The corners in the woods along Lake Superior are icy, use caution. Trail #11 (South Boundary Road) is being groomed as I write this, received 10+ inches last night. Trail#12 from White Pine to Ontonagon was hit and is in good condition. There is still approximately 1/4 mile along The Norwich Road of ditch trail that cannot be groomed. Please use caution along the road and please, please, please, stay on the trail!!! Trail #137 (RR grade) from Ontonagon to Trail#13 was groomed last night and is in very good condition. Trail #12 from the 137 junction to Greenland was hit last night and is in good condition. Watch for a wet spot just east of The Woodspur Road, with these colder temps, it should freeze back up quickly. Trail #13 from Rockland to Trail #101 was groomed last night. Our operator reported at least 40 sleds out as he was grooming! There is a lot of traffic out there! The trail is in good condition. Trail #101 from Trail #13 to Potato Farm Road was done last night and is in very good condition. Have a ball and thanks for riding the 906! <> This message is only visible to site admins <> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>Postings From Regional Pages On Facebook
