Paradise Area Trail Report – 02/19
February 19, 2018 34 degrees this morning and cloudy. It did get below freezing last night and we got a heavy dusting of snow. I know the weather guessers are calling for rain down below the next couple days, but for UP here they are saying 3-6 inches of heavy wet snow…..we`ll see what happens. Here`s what went on yesterday on our trails….. Groomer Jack ran the South trail #8. He called it fair to good. The swamp south of town had a soft spot open up but he got it filled in. I`ve said this before, slow down in there and watch for soft spots. Once he got back to the barn and fueled up he still felt ambitious so he ran the Falls trail too. Thats 14 hrs. total in the seat!!! He rated the Falls trail as good. I think he`s earning himself a new nick name…..iron butt. LOL Groomer Gerald headed out for Pine Stump but the machine (new one) started acting up on him again so he turned around about an hour in. We called the company and they sent a tech down last night. He is out there right now working on it…….and so the saga continues. Not sure whats up for today but stay tuned.
