Just a taste of spring riding conditions in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! Thanks Glenn Rowe for the photo and smooth trails! Road crossings are bare but other than that trails are in great shape! Little warm up tomorrow and then the temps start falling again. I’m not ready to say seasons over….. join me in a ❄️💃. Snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open and in good to very good condition. Groomers are out. The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, drive safely. The signs on the trail are there for riders’ safety so please DO Not remove or destroy them. Snow fall in the Keweenaw Peninsula – 1 inch of new snow with 38 inches of snow on the ground, 260 inches have fallen to date as of 3/13/2018.
