Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 03/17
Trails have all been groomed and the majority are in good to excellent condition. The road crossings are mostly bare, getting in and out of towns is thin in areas,trail 122 has about a half mile to a mile of road riding and is thin in areas. Most trails north of Lake Linden are still well covered and great condition. Will try to update as we ride today! Think snow! Snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open and in good to very good condition. Groomers are out. The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, drive safely. The signs on the trail are there for riders’ safety so please DO Not remove or destroy them. Snow fall in the Keweenaw Peninsula – 1 inch of new snow with 38 inches of snow on the ground, 260 inches have fallen to date as of 3/13/2018.
