Ironwood Trail Report – Gogebic Range Trail Authority – 01/15
Trail 11S Ice Hazards from the groomer breaking through the swamp have been cleared. Thank you to Chaney Lake resident Bill Lafond for taking care of this by hand, his only request is that everyone roots for the Chicago Blackhawks! 11S will be groomed to our turnaround at the WI/Vilas County State Line later this week. Remember, we have 2 groomers for 100 miles of trail and trails 160, the ski hill section of trail 2 and 11S can only accommodate our Tucker SnoCat. The Ag tractor is too big and heavy to risk on the steep hills or swampy areas. Most Wisconsin clubs around us have 1 groomer for 30-40 miles of trails. <> Theres a lot of new snow out there! Trail 8 was groomed tonight and so was trail 2 from Ironwood to Wakefield. Triple passes were done through the ski hill section. Trail 11 and 2 to Marenisco will be groomed tomorrow (that’s the plan anyway). Trails rated in very good condition!! Come ride! <> Report via Gogebic Range Trail Authority Website <> Report via Gogebic Range Trail Authority on Facebook <> This message is only visible to site admins <> Visit Gogebic Range Trail Authority Website >>>> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>Postings From Regional Pages On Facebook
