Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 11/27
The Keweenaw Peninsula is currently getting hit with heavy snow – reports of 12+ already on the ground… More snow and windy conditions to follow. Please drive safely if you have to drive…. KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE – via Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula It’s definitely a blizzard out there! Here’s a beautiful live shot of the Portage Lake Lift Bridge. (We have been overwhelmed by requests to make this into a print available for sale, but sadly we can’t even find our offices…or our cars to get to our offices to make this into a print. We apologize, but you’re just going to have to stare at your wall and use your imaginations. 😉) KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE – via Western & Southern UP Trail Reports I live in painesdale and it’s pretty windy here. So this is not accurate. A lot of drifting up on these hills. <> Keweenaw Trail Reports on Facebook >>>> <> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>
We got through the easy part of the storm already. I hear toivola and twin are measuring about 5 inches more than us.
I took a drive and saw a county plow stuck at the top of trimountain😱
Over near the lake, we are getting snap chats of huge waves washing up onto the roads.
So if you’re traveling today, stay safe.
Underneath all this it’s pretty soggy from the melt we just had. High 20’s & low 30’s called for the rest of the week. So it’ll be a bit before everything freezes over.
Happy thanksgiving to you all & we will do our best to keep you apprised to the conditions over the next week.
Shelie
