Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/03
January 3, 2020 31 degrees this morning and cloudy. No new snow in the last couple of days…..bummer….but it looks like that will change by the end of this weekend. Lets hope so!!!!!!!!!! Here`s what went on yesterday……. We were gonna do some signing but everybody got kinda busy with other stuff. I had to make a run to Newberry to pick up groomer supplies…..oil, grease and a bunch of other stuff. Groomer Mike got a phone call from part time local Ed Sabo. He told Mike him and a buddy were UP and wanted to help with something so the 3 of them took off and did some brushing on the south trail towards Hulbert. THANK YOU Ed!!!!!! I wish I would have caught you`re buddys name. When I got back from Newberry, Chic from Chics Hot Dog Stand was in the barn giving the groomers a good ole fashioned cleaning!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU Chic!!!!! They really needed it, we really, really appreciate that. Now, today, Me and Groomer Dave M. are gonna head out and do that signing. Groomer Mike is gonna head out with a groomer and hit Trail #8 to Pine Stump. Tomorrow, Me and Dave plan on taking a groomer south on Trail #8 and groom the town trail and then go down the road and past the river mouth and see if we can groom that section up and go into the Federal Forest and see how bad that section is. We`ll look into runnin the Point trails tomorrow if we can find the help. We have to stay outa the Falls trail #45 and the south swamp until we get some snow. Sooooo……thats da plans. I need to make a couple things clear also. I`ve seen questions on the Point Trails #452 and #453. We do have a bridge that got half washed out on Trail #452. We cannot get a groomer across it so that section will be closed for the foreseeable future, we are making signs right now to post it closed. This section is between Vermillion Rd and Widewaters Rd. The plan is when you ride in from the north we will come out onto Vermillion and then groom it until you get back out by the lake, making it kinda a short loop. We are working on a reroute but it may be a couple years. I hope this clears any confusion. All fer today. Lets hope this weather pattern change hits us. LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Groomer Chris <> My son Wyatt came out and helped his old man and Chris sign some trails today thanks Wyatt you were a big help <> Visit Paradise Area Night Riders on Facebook >>>> <> Visit Paradise Area Night Riders Website >>>> <> <> Visit Paradise Area Night Riders Website >>>> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>Postings From Regional Pages On Facebook
