Paradise Area Trail Report – 01/07
January 7, 2020 32 degrees this morning and cloudy. We did pick up close to 6 inches of snow last Sunday night and Monday. It looks like we`ll get another 3-5 starting tonight and into Wednesday……YEA…..and then warm back up for a couple days…..BOOOO. Here`s whats been going on….. Yesterday, Groomer Mike went out with just a machine and worked the Falls trail #45 for 12 hrs. The goal was to just get the water holes filled in and do some more clearing of trees. He did "get `er done" with the exception of one big hole. I`m going out after I get done with this report and take care of that one. If I can get it filled in good enough we`ll open up the gates to the Falls!!!!! Just be VERY careful riding this trail until it freezes in solid. It hasn`t been groomed yet so it will be rough. We plan on grooming it Thursday or Friday. Mike is heading out again this morning and runnin the Pine Stump trail #8. Tomorrow we are planning on heading south on trail #8 with 2 machines, one with a drag and one without, and try to get thru "da swamp" and then groom south of the river mouth. On a side note, we are down to just 2 machines. It does appear the engine on our oldest groomer is toast. This REALLY SUCKS!!!! We are exploring our options. All fer today. LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
