Ironwood Trail Report – 01/17
IRONWOOD / WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Gogebic Range Trail Authority – ORV & Snowmobile Club – 1/17 While one groomer is down our crew relishes the opportunity to show what the team we call our friends can do. Our Tucker was out 160 yesterday grooming and reopened the final closed section, hats off to Jerry, Joe & Scott for busting butt to get it done. They then signed a 1.5 mile plowed section for logging, if you see caution tape and logging signs slow down! Plowed roads should never be travelled faster than 25MPH. They swapped crews out by Saxon Harbor and groomed back to Ironwood and Bessemer. Then over night Matt Rogers took the rig down to Marenisco and he remains on the return route. Another driver will relieve him in Wakefield to head back to Ironwood to groom the towns. He will bring it back to the barn for a few hours thaw for greasing/inspection before it heads out tonight for the weekend. We are running about 30-35 hours straight without shutting down. Why? We really like folks riding here supporting our club, sponsors and communities.
