Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 01/23
Greetings Sledders, A very quick update as I am running on fumes. I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback from the drivers and from sledders in terms of the trail conditions and I’m calling them good to very good. We got about 3" today and it helped to sweeten things up on the Frederic trail. The unknown is the weather and as of right now it looks like the probability of liquid precip is quite low. Two of us spent the better part of today filling the water holes behind the fairgrounds with 30 yards of 3" stone and the impasse has been resolved. These are the ones between Lewiston Grade Rd and M-93. The water crossing the Lovells trail between mile markers 47-10 and 47-11 is still there so use caution. The military training that I talked about in the last report will not impact the Lovells trail or roads out in the off trail areas.
