Paradise Area Trail Report – 02/04
February 4, 2020 21 degrees this morning and cloudy. No new snow in the last few days. I`m about sick of this "fake" winter stuff. The local weather guesser was on TV last night and said we had the second warmest January on record, 9.8 degrees above normal…..WOW! It does look like its gonna cool off for the next week but "they" are not calling for a bunch of snow to fall. Here`s whats happening with the trails……. I ran the South trail #8 yesterday. The swamp south of town is soft and snirty. You can get thru there but a couple of water holes opened up. I got them filled in but I would rate it at poor. The rest of the trail I would rate as fair-good, leaning more towards good. The Pine Stump trail #8 is rated at good and it will be run today. The Falls trail #45 is fair-good. There is one trouble spot at the intersection at the lower falls but no problem getting around. It is gettin run today. The Point Trails #452 and #453 is rated at good. They are gettin run today also. Here`s some bad luck news, as if we need more. Our groomer with the blown engine was supposed to get started on yesterday. Well…..it got pushed back by a week, something about the mechanic couldn`t make it UP till the 10th……figures. So, we are still runnin with just 2 machines. So there you have it. With this crap weather, and luck, we are still holding our own. If only we could get some snow….man. LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! C`MON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
