Gaylord Area Trail Report – 02/28
Gaylord Bureau – February 28, 2020 9:40 am Trails are in “Good Condition.” Grooming is being done! We are under a “WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY” until 11 pm tonight, possible 3 – 5 inches of new snow! There is a section on the south loop of the Johannesburg trail just south of Old State Road that washed out and is currently taped off. A culvert will be going into this section to eliminate future water issues. Please use caution riding past this area, but it should be fixed quickly. Please stay on the trails and off the tracks! http://www.gaylordmichigan.net/snowmobile-trail-report-114/ <> Still snowing and blowing, really hard to tell how much we had overnight but we have plenty of lube. The winds have been steady so alot of drifting. My guess is 4 to 6 inches, reports of snow all over, had the first sleds of the day in at 10 this morning. Its all lake effect snow so trails are still hard and icy but at least there is lube now. It will at least make it rideable thru the weekend but just be careful of what lays underneath. I got all caught up last night on reading the Darkside Adventures blog. Wow the pics and the the journey that they are having would be so great to do with them. 10 days and 2000 miles…… I am posting some of their pics below or check out their blog at this link http://darkside-adventures.squarespace.com/new-blog O.k. I am going back to work, I hear more sleds pulling up……..oops I was wrong its the train rollling thru Frederic….Thanks for checking in and Please ride Safely…….Pete http://frederic-mi.com/category/trail-conditions/ <> <> Visit VisitGaylord.com Website >>>> <> <> Visit VisitGaylord.com Website >>>> <> <> Gaylord Area Featured Snowmobile Lodging Gaylord Area Snowmobile Lodging & Services <> <> Latest Trail Reports – Quick Links <>Postings From Regional Pages On Facebook
