Keweenaw Peninsula Trail Report – 03/06
KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort – 3/6 So we didn’t get what was being wished for but we did get about 4” over night bringing snowfall to 210.5” of snow. The trails are holding up (in town Houghton/Hancock thin) and groomers are still running! It’s been a weird winter for us but still plenty of snow to play in off trail too! <> March 6, 2020 Snowmobile trails are in good to very good condition throughout the Keweenaw. Trails are groomed daily throughout the region. There is logging a mile north of Phoenix on Trail 3. Please pay attention to the signs and stay on the trail or this trail will be CLOSED. Remember when you’re out on the trails to watch out for the groomers. They have the right away. Please stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, drive safely. The signs on the trails are there for rider’s safety so please DO NOT remove or destroy them. Houghton County has received a total of 163.8″ of snow for the season and Keweenaw County has received 253.6″ of snow for the season.* Today’s forecast: Mostly sunny. Trail 133 is closed for logging. The trail section from Dollar Bay to Lake Linden (a portion of Trail 3) and the Freda Trail (Trails 121 & 120) will be closed the entire season for repair.
Valley Sno Drifters trail from Lake Linden to Dreamland Restaurant & Bar is OPEN!
The Portage Lift Bridge is open to snowmobile traffic.
