Frederic / Gaylord Area Trail Report – Sledheads of Frederic – 12/19
Saturday morning and a nice snow coming down here in downtown Frederic, I didn’t think we were supposed to get any snow but so far we have about an inch of new and its still coming down. I doubt if it will add up to much but it certainly cant hurt.
I have seen a few sleds already this morning but I would still classify the trails at fair to poor but I have definitely seen way worse than what we have right now.
After the announcement last night of indoor dining being closed till at least Jan 15 I just want to remind you that I think its best if you can pack food for being out on the trail for the day.
Sometimes the gas station here in frederic has a roller grill, and in grayling 7 11 always has hot dogs and burgers, the gas station in waters has great pizza and of course the swamp and frederic inn are open for take out and do have some outside seating.
My girls have the candy bar table stocked up and cold pop here in Sledheads……..
The pic below was 2 guys that rode into here yesterday. Once again for some reason my regular website at sledheadsusa.com doesn’t seem to be working so I am posting this on mySledheads facebook page….. thanks for checking in. Pete
FROM Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> I need to post this image again because WOW. I can't recall the last time nearly all of the United States was forecast to be below average. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. The warming temperature trend line is full of peaks and valleys with an overall increasing trend. 🙂 #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea#petoskey#gaylord#cadillac#traversecityI need to post this image again because WOW. After Thanksgiving, a large portion of the U.S. will likely see below normal temperatures into early December. And of course, there's southern Florida. 🌞
