TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf – 1/7/21 Trail Report:
Trail Condition: Poor
Current Temp: 30 degrees
Groomers Running: No. Last day groomers were able to get out was on January 1st and they’ve been parked since then.
Base: Zero
Trails are in poor condition. We need snow and colder temps to maintain it. We’ve seen mid to high 30s the past several days. We have had nothing significant in terms of snow since close to Christmas. Think snow ❄️ ❄️ ❄️
We will still be open 12pm to 4pm this Saturday 1/9 and 12pm to 3pm on Sunday 1/10 for outdoor food and beverage service to accommodate our hayride guests as well as any drive outs or side by side traffic, but, sadly I doubt anyone will be snowmobiling this weekend….
TRAVERSE CITY FOOD AND TRAILS UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 01/07
If you live in the Traverse City area you already know the trail conditions but for those of you down state or in another state-here you go.
We had a major meltdown over the last few days and it has left us with virtually no snow. Trails are currently unrideable and we desperately need snow. I will try to do a trail report every Thursday morning or when conditions improve. As of right now we have no snow in the forecast.
We all know that this can change in a matter of days so everybody do your snow dance.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A cold night is on tap as temps fall into the teens and perhaps single digits across much of northern Michigan, especially in areas heavily impacted by the recent ice storm. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Looking ahead, it will be quieter Tuesday before another system brings the potential for another active wintry system for midweek. #miweather #gaylord#cadillac#benzie#traversecity#petoskeyA cold night is on tap as temps fall into the teens and perhaps single digits across much of northern Michigan, especially in areas heavily impacted by the recent ice storm. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency? Are there any numbers showing ice accumulation for Antrim as compared to surrounding areas?
