Antrim County Trail Report – 01/23
JORDAN VALLEY UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council – 01/23 Snow has fell, riders have descended on the Jordan Valley and those anxious groomer operators have rev’d their engines and groomed the trails. We will groom all weekend and access conditions Monday as to future grooming schedule. We’ve got roughly 12-14” of snow and as an average there is 3-5” of snow on our trail system, more south vs north. With heavy traffic we’ll do what we can for the weekend. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat.
