KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 01/28
Earlier this week we shared photos of a father/son ride from Chris Franzen . Today Jason Dowiasch shared these photos and comments from his ride with his father today….. the even more awesome part is that Jason’s father had not been on a sled in over THIRTY years! I have such fond memories of sledding with my father and wish he were still alive to share a ride on Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula with him!
Jason said, “Trails were great today, basically untouched trails all the way from Houghton to Copper Harbor! Put on about 130 plus miles, my dad hasn’t been on a sled for 30 plus years an I finally got him out with me, I think he enjoyed it! Thanks to all the groomers”
So happy you and your dad enjoyed the day! Thank you for sharing Jason!

FROM Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> I need to post this image again because WOW. I can't recall the last time nearly all of the United States was forecast to be below average. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. The warming temperature trend line is full of peaks and valleys with an overall increasing trend. 🙂 #miweather #keweenaw#westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea#petoskey#gaylord#cadillac#traversecityI need to post this image again because WOW.
