HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 12/12 ❗️TRAIL UPDATE❗️ <> <> WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> An intense and long lasting lake effect snow event across the Great Lakes will lead to significant impacts on driving conditions for the holiday weekend! Typical snow belt regions of northern Michigan can expect high rates of snowfall to accumulate on roadways along with reduced visibility while driving in and out of snow bands. We have anywhere from 5"-10" of snow, a few sleds have been out on the trails, but we don’t have anywhere near enough to start grooming let alone enough to cover some of the rocks & washouts in the trails. The forecast is calling for high of 47 on Wednesday and 57 on Thursday so I’m sure we will lose most of the snow that we have.
