Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. How does the old saying go??? One step forward, two steps back… We were off to a great start then the three-day warm up hit. We have lost all our snow and the trails are not rideable at this time. To add insult to injury, we have been experiencing wind gust of 50+mph and have numerous trees down. Some club members will be out on the trails this weekend to assess/clean up any trees that may be down on the trails. At this time, we have no measurable snow in the forecast for the next 10 days.
