FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 1/4 Maybe Tonight? Its tuesday morning here at Lake Margrethe at about 30 degrees, supposed to get to upper 30s today and then cool tonight with a prediction of maybe 4 inches and tough driving for wednesday morning. It would be nice if this comes true and we need to start somewhere, the big question is will there be enough to make a half way decent ride for this coming weekend. Picture below is from out the front window of Sledheads this morning, Still looks the same as the past 4 or 5 days. This is pretty much my broken record update with the same old thing each day. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
