Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. We received 6-8 inches of light fluffy snow yesterday and it is still snowing lightly at this time. The wife and I went out for a ride to see how the trails were and took a few pictures. We definitely need more snow as there is no base on the trails. Conditions are typical early season riding. Groomer Pat is out panning the trails so if your out, please watch out for him and give him a thumbs up. As you can see, some dirt is showing through after he panned but this will lead to better trails so please be patient. I wish I had better news on the trails, but the weather does look to stay cold so keep the snow dances going and remember to Ride Right, Ride Safe.
Everything is snow covered! We got about 6 fresh inches in the valley. Groomers are anticipated to head out today. Currently 9 degrees and lightly snowing. There isn’t much of a trail report at this time because we really haven’t had rideable snow to speak of yet this season. Counter service food and beverage available this Saturday starting at 11:30am. It is forecasted to stay cold enough to hang onto this snow for a bit and we anticipate people will be on the trails this weekendPostings From Regional Pages On Facebook
